This is wee Kyle who never reached the web site (sadly his mum passed away and he was found beside her). Here he is with his foster mum / dad Margaret & Ewan. Hopefully there will be some good news on this front...

Now this is what we call commitment well done to Jane and Millie, who was a difficult wee girl. Thank goodness she went to Jane.

Hi Ena,
thought I'd update you about Millie... after I emailed you saying I wanted to re-home her, I had big second thoughts (I am very fond of her and she does have many star qualities!) I decided it really wasn't fair to pass her on again - I think she was just being adolescent so I decided I would work much harder with her to see if we could really make something of it. We've both come through with flying colours, I'm pleased to say, and she's really turning into a lovely steady dog. I now have a very strong bond with her and I've learned a lot about how to relate to stroppy bitches!

Both Millie and Jazz come to work with me; recently we've been working on a big environmental arts site in the forest and it's done wonders for Millie's attitude towards strangers, especially men. They are the 'site girls' and people stop work to throw sticks for them!

Anyhow, just thought you'd like to know she's still with me, and very much appreciated.

best wishes,
Jane

This is wee Megan the Lab puppy with two of her new family, who are all lovely and absolutely adore her. She has certainly landed on all four paws!

Hi Ena, I have attached a couple of photos taken of Megan with Sarah & Andrew. She had a great time over the weekend when we were all able to be with her in the garden & she is exploring behind every bush! Sarah counting the days till she can take her out for a walk - the harness has already been bought!

Some of you may remember Lucy the yorkie (who we affectionately called Fangs at the kennels!).

Well, this is Lucy back for a visit with her mum and dad, she has come on so well in their tender loving care and the wee soul just adores them.

Ena

A few pics of Charlie who has become just as handsome as his brother (although a bit wetter in two of these photos so looking less shiny!!) - he loves going into the water but isn't brave enough to swim full on in it yet.

Keep up the good work...

Kind regards
Jenny

Murphy & Polly >>
Posted: 19th August 2007

Hi Ena, Frank and Mhairi,

Just a wee note to let you all know how Murphy (Chico) is getting on. Well, he has settled in brilliantly and Polly is in her element! He is like her wee shadow and she is loving it. Their Gran actually bought them a big bed to share because they were always cuddled up together in the wee one. I have attached some pictures to let you see them though I now have 2 unwanted beds so I will pop up with them soon. Murphy has made such a difference to Polly, she's even playing with toys now!! So thank you once again for letting us have the wee man, we're all chuffed to bits.

Love Gill x

We were thrilled to receive this e-mail from Zues. He was originally rehomed to Dalkieth then his mum phoned to say they were going back to America (his dad is American). I was so worried for him thinking he would need to come back to us, but I needn't have worried. His folks loved him so much they took him to live in Colorada Springs! How's that for commitment?!

This is what Zeus has to say:

Hello Ena an Frank,

Its too darn HOT!!! Apart from that life is good. Been camping and swimming and occasionally protecting my family from what they call thunder, but I'm convinced its the sky about to fall on our heads.

Attached is a recent pic - no squirrels at the new house but I'm making the most of chewing on this pretend one.

I’ve just had my 7th birthday and we went on a wonderful hike and picnic in the mountains. I spent most of the picnic in the river (black dog in hot weather = not much fun). The vet told Susan I was very healthy, but he wants to check on me twice a year since I'm now in the "senior" dog range!! Don't feel it!

All humans are happy and well - bring on the autumn and cooler weather!

Love to all,
Zeus xx

Dear Ena and Mhairi,

My mums promised to send you pictures of our holidays in Tayvallich ... I had a great time and learned to stalk a big hairy fish ... Which I caught!!... Unfortunately it turned out to be my sister Ailis but it made my mums laugh so much!

I have also sent you pictures of my other sister Brae and my brother Glen who are also rescue dogs. My mums said I was not to send pictures of them as they had not brushed their hair!

I love my new home with my sisters and brother and I have some lovely cats that scratch my nose when I try to eat their dinner and my mums say that I may be deaf but I am the cleverest boy they know.. I am really good at jumping on the kitchen cabinets, pulling the stuffing out of toys and biting bacon rolls when they are still in my mums hand.. I am also brilliant at taking up ALL of the sofa.. I go to work in an office all day and I meet lots of lovely people and I have learned to say hello to them by going "WHOOOOOOO".. And as you can see I can now type!

I hope my birth brother TJ is happy and when you see him give him a hug for me.

Lots of Love,
Fergus the Dally

Breagh, Bonnie, Star & Billy >>
Posted: 19th August 2007

This is what Frank and myself did after taking Lucy to her new home (talk about a busmans holiday!):

Firstly we went to see Breagh & Bonnie, who are both looking great, and then we paid a visit to Star. She was the mum of the husky puppies, she has really blossomed from a wee skinny thing into a lovely girl, this is her with Frank and her house mate who is a Northern Inuit.

After saying goodbye to Star we carried on right to the very tip of Scotland to see Billy the Rottie. He came all the way from Wales and ended up in Scrabster! He is doing absolutely brilliantly.

It was so nice to see each and everyone of them with their new families. Just makes what we do so very worthwhile.
