Hi Ena,
Sorry the photos took so long but I lost your email address. Got it from Peter though. As you can see Ben is absolutely fine and enjoying himself as always. He is slowing down ever so slightly and sleeps a lot more than he used to. He needs a wee while in the morning to get going and is a bit stiff til he loosens up but once up and about he is absolutely fine.(A bit like myself!!) Still running and catching his ball as always. I make him eleven this year. I think that's right. He's due his booster this month so he'll not be looking forward to that. He senses the vet when we arrive as he goes into drop down ear mode and slinking behind us as if he was going to the gallows. He's just so wise !!!
Hope Frank and yourself are keeping well. Cath is working tonight so I'm on walkies duty. Ben lets me know when it's time and starts huffing and puffing and sighing if I'm late. I'm sure if he had a watch he'd be looking at it and rolling his eyes. Talking of which !!!!!
Bye for now Ena
Angus.

************
Angus thank you so much for pics, Ben looks great the air up on Skye must be agreeing with him, I can hardly believe he is nearly 11 now xx

Well this wee girl hadn't to wait long for her new home, she came in on Sunday, a couple arrived on Monday looking for a dog and hey ho fell in love with Ruby, so Frank took her to the vets on Tuesday and today we took her out to her home. Really lovely family. This wee girl's story was, she had been in the Edinburgh Cat & Dog home for three months, then she was rehomed unfortunately this home didn't work out for her, don't know why as she is a brilliant wee dog only 9 months old now.. However we have just told her the rest of her life starts from here on in, as you can see they are overjoyed at having her join their family xx

Poppy & Susie >>

Big breakthrough! If a furry cube isn't too stuffed Susie can scramble up all by herself. She's managed this about 5 times so far. When she wants down she just slides down onto all 4 feet.

One of "our" wee girls Poppy with her two brothers waiting patiently for roast beef, the wee tiny girl Susie is not daft she is up sitting on her Mum's knee. It is just so good to see these wee ones settled down in a house after all they have been through xx xx

This is the reason I could never have separated these two wee girls, they just love curling up together.
Thanks for the pic Lorraine so pleased they have settled in so well with your boys Fergus and Duncan. X x

Posted: 14th November 2011

This is Buddy with his mum Jackie, it was so so lovely to see them today. He came in with his six brothers and sisters in September 1999. Sadly we noticed Buddy had a wee problem I.e: he was always being sick so to cut a long story short he had to have an esophagus operation at the Dick veterinary hospital, when he was only about 10 weeks old. I used to do a dog in the leader Jack Sneddon was the editor then a lovely man, we did a story about Buddy and he ran it then we did a thank you for Buddy to all the people who had sent donations and get well cards for him, some of you may well remember Buddy, Jack put it on the front page of the Leader I remember Jackie ( his mum ) and myself went to collect him after his op we took this big soft bed for what we thought would be a very sick puppy only 11 weeks old., not him he would have jumped all over the place if he had been allowed. So here he is over 12 years down the line with his mum who adores him. He hasn't seem me for a long time but he remembered me bless him. Have enclosed some pics of him just after his op, if you look carefully at the one with the hairbrush, you will see the extent of the cut he had it was right over his shoulder and under his wee leg.Buddy never looked back and he is such a well loved lad. If I remember rightly either one or the two of Jackie's girls were allergic to dogs, Jackie just made sure there were not a lot of hairs or dust from his coat lying around. The girls also think Buddy is brilliant just like Frank and myself. Jackie can we just say thank you for looking after " Our " special boy for all those years and I hope you have many more happy years together.

This is Buddy as a wee puppy, the one with him lying on his bed , if you look really close you can just see the scar where he had his op. From his shoulder right under his tummy. Just look at him now a very distinguished older gentleman, who we all love xx.

Love Ena & Frank xx

This wee lass never reached the web site, and is already in her new home. What a lovely family she has gone to, she was named Nacho, but this has been changed to Daisy, Daisy is on her Dad's knee and and wee Rosie on her Mum's, both dogs got on well in fact they were playing with each other before they left the kennels. It's been a good week with all the dogs being adopted, Frank keeps telling me I will run out of good homes for our dogs, so far it hasn't happened yet thank goodness xx

Sam >>
Posted: 4th November 2011

This is our Sam getting ready to go home with his folks, as you can see he is eager to be off and Tom had to really hold onto him for me to get a photo. This lovely couple rehomed Sally a wee collie from me about 11 years ago, sadly Sally has gone to Rainbow Bridge and her folks are devastated. I admire them that they have opened their home and hearts to offer Sam a home what greater tribute could they pay Sally, than to give another second chance dog a much needed home. There is a young lady at home who will be so excited when she comes home.Thank you xx

This is wee Milo with his lovely new family, his buddy is Toby a wee Border terrier mix, both dogs got on really well, until they found a ball !!!! Of course like kids they both wanted it, so I have asked his folks to put toys away until the dogs settle in together.I'm sure they will be fine. Tom wanted the pic of the dogs both looking at the camera, but I couldn't resist putting on the one with Milo giving his dad a kiss x x Milo was Kingdom FM dog of the week today so he did well x.
