Below is our latest news and the events which are planned at the moment. These events are a very important part of our charity. All monies raised go directly towards the upkeep of the dogs and helps to ensure that the Second Chance Kennels are maintained adequately for the job. We hold regular fundraising events and always welcome new ideas and/or helpers. If you think you can help in any way with our events, please contact us.

This is Adam who has coming to the kennels for about 10 years now, mind this is the first time he's been caught him washing dishes !!! He is usually doing the " Man " stuff helping Frank build fences ect : Great help he is too.

Ps: Hope that is Fairy Liquid your using Adam x

Fife Flyers Visit !! >>

We had a lovely time today, and would like to thank Ross Cunninham for arranging the visit. Ross & Vicky, came along with Matt & Jordan from the Fife Flyers. They had a look around the kennels and Vicky took some photo's of the dogs with the boys. Don't know how they will turn out though because only a couple of the dogs behaved for the camera !!!! Look forward to seeing them on the Fife Flyers community programme for this year. Here are a couple pics of Matt & Jordan with Hamish & wee Alfie, and one of them with Yvonne one of our brilliant volunteers,Frank & the wee ones.

Morrisons in Kirkcaldy are kindly allowing us to have a box in their store to collect dog food for our residents.Alfie the Rottie has been with us for nearly five years big soft lump.The other dogs now have lovely homes.Wee Alfie and big Alfie thanks you on their behalf.xx

Hi it's me Alfie with my pals, Braxter and Jack, Jack's had a nice long walk with Frank and me and wee Baxter have been playing with the chucket, funny thing is we both have a tennis ball but won't touch each other's, i think Baxter would make a good wee fly ball dog !!! We are all now just chilling out. love wee Alfie xxx

It was with a heavy heart Mr Lawrie brought a cheque along to the kennels, which was collectyed at his wifes funeral. Thanks to the kindness of Mrs Lawries friends and family £317-30 was collected and handed over to us at Second Chance Kennels. It was very thoughtful especially at such a sad time. Thank you all. This is Mr Lawrie's Grandaughter with Sarah our much valued volunteer, and of course wee Alfie.

Wee Alfie, Frank myself, Bill / Sarah / Yvonne / Andy / Dawn / & Harry from (Kingdom K9) in fact everyone who is involved with the kennels, would like to wish everyone, and all our past residents, a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2014.

Hopefully see some of you in the New Year.

We would also like to thank most sincerely, everyone who has supported and continue to support us, with donations of food / bedding / money.

It is really appreciated and very thoughtful when everyone is so busy.

Nikki Frank and myself just wanted to say thank you so very much for organising the auction and to aeveryone who donated and bid on the lots, fantastic total of £1150 was raised for Second Chance.x

Frank and myself had a couple days on The Isle of Skye recently .thanks to our wonderful volunteers who manned the kennels in our absence,We met up with a few of our past residents and spent a lovely couple of days with Hazel and Peter at the Lodge Hotel Edinbane thanks for making us so welcome, we caught up with a few of our past residents who now live up there, and who are all very happy it was great to see them.

I took this photo as Frank was driving back to the Skye Bridge. I'm so amazed it turned out !! Love it and Skye of course.

Thank you to my dad Stan and all the employee's at BP Kinneil Grangemouth, who have made it possible for other dogs like me to be given a Second Chance.

Thanks to Sox and his dad Stan £303-30 was collected for us. We really appreciate this. people taking time out to think of the dogs who are in residence hear waiting on new homes.

This is Sox with his dad, who went back our web site and found the photo and story of Sox when he was up for adoption and printed it and put it on the collection tin.No mean feat as Sox has been out just over nine years and there's hundreds of Happy Hound stories to go through !! Thanks Guys x

Also thanks for giving Sox such a wonderful life with his agility ect.

George Buist and his family visited today, he is just home from work.we would like to thank all the guys on The Saltire Rig for thinking of us and being so kind, and donating £200-00 to the kennels. Molly / Olly / Chico /Prince /Ingo /Teasle / Wee Alfie and the lovely Jess have all been playing for over two hours together, mind Frank and me had to through a few balls for them. All now resting Molly's on her couch / Olly's on his chair / wee Teasle and Ingo in their bed, and the rest having a snooze with Frank & Jess is relaxing on gouch in receptions. Love this uys time we have with the residents here, gives us a wee insight as to how they will be in their new homes xx

We would to thank everyone at Strathallan Primary School Kirckaldy, involved in raising over £800 for the kennel.
